Mr. Lloyd started the aviation credit investing business at Carlson Capital in 2003, having previously served as an airline and aerospace investment banker at Credit-Suisse.  As an investor, Mr. Lloyd  has been involved in all facets of the aviation sector and all major airline restructurings for 12+ years.  He has served on a number of creditors’ committees, one of which was instrumental in the full recovery to all stakeholders (including equity), in the AMR case between 2011 and 2013.  He has spoken at industry conferences and served as a Subject Matter Expert in regards to aircraft financing guarantees by the U.S. ExIm Bank.  Prior to moving to the buyside, he advised the world’s largest airlines, and aerospace suppliers, on M&A and restructuring at Credit-Suisse for 4 years.  He led the deal team and advised AMR Corporation, parent of American Airlines, in its §363/365 bankruptcy acquisition of TWA’s assets in 2001, Continental Airlines in its share repurchase/reclassification transaction, etc.

Previously, he was a private equity investor and began his career in institutional money management for financials in 1988.

He has 28 years of investment and finance experience, and holds a B.A. in economics from Trinity College and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago. 


Nolan Heske

Mr. Heske has over 13 years of specialized fixed income experience as a trader, structurer and modeler with a proven track record of building sell-side aviation-focused franchises.  In 2009, he was a founding member of the Jefferies Aviation Franchise and ultimately helped build one of the premier franchises in the sector for trading, capital markets, and investment banking.  At Jefferies, he created a unique "one-stop" point of contact for institutional aviation investors.  Mr. Heske also created and distributed a monthly all-encompassing aviation market report entitled “Flight Deck” to thousands of Jefferies salespeople, buyside and investment banking clients. Finally, in 2015 he helped establish an aircraft leasing platform (Aircadia Leasing LLC) at Leucadia/Jefferies to acquire and lease in mid-life commercial and private jet aircraft.

Prior to Jefferies, Mr. Heske co-founded the Aviation Trading Platform within the Structured Products Group at Guggenheim Securities in 2005.

He holds a B.S. in Accountancy from Villanova University and an M.B.A. in Finance from Fordham University. He also holds licenses for Series 7 & 63.
